Rose ball

A floral ball composed of preserved roses and preserved ivy leaves. An everlasting gift to offer, or a decoration that will dress up your home originally! Follow this do it yourself, armed with pins and creativity, you will make this composition in about thirty minutes. For more creativity, feel free to use other flowers or leaves' colors.

Material

You will need:
– preserved roses
– 6 preserved small roses
– 1 preserved ivy leaves bouquet
– Florist stem wire
– 8 flower holders or use the cross-wire technique
– Pins
– Styrofoam ball
– Floral foam sphere (diameter 6")
– Floral adhesive
– Some tools

Step 1

Draw a refined oval of 3" × 9" on the surface of the foam. Create this shape in the foam with a knife and a spoon.

Step 2

Cut the ivy leaves in half.
TIP: When cutting the ivy leaves in half, cut the center rib so that the leaf fits the foam ball.

Step 3

Cover the ball (except the sampled area) with the leaves and fix them with pins.

Step 4

Mount the mini roses on the technical wire, then flora tape them following the cross-wire technique. Do the same with the roses.

Step 5

Prick the varieties of roses and polystyrene balls into the sampled area in order to reconstitute the ball.
